These professional learning opportunities will support you to lead delivery of a high-quality career education program.
Upskilling Career Practitioners
We offer study grants to support Âé¶¹¶ÌÊÓÆµ secondary teachers to complete a Graduate Certificate in Career Education/Career Development. More than 460 teachers have participated in training through these grants since 2019.
In most cases, the funding will cover all costs. Schools can also get 2 days of casual relief teaching to support involvement in coursework.

Australian Centre for Career Education membership
In 2025, up to 2 career practitioners per Âé¶¹¶ÌÊÓÆµ Âé¶¹¶ÌÊÓÆµ secondary school can access membership with the Australian Centre for Career Education (ACCE), funded by the department.
Membership with ACCE gives career practitioners access to subject-specific professional development, networking and practice-sharing opportunities, resources and up-to-date information about career education research.
The pilot of funded ACCE membership is available to career practitioners with or without an existing membership. Funding for membership will be provided directly to ACCE by the department.
In 2026, 600 funded ACCE memberships will be available for career practitioners in Âé¶¹¶ÌÊÓÆµ Âé¶¹¶ÌÊÓÆµ secondary schools. When open, applications for 2026 ACCE membership can be submitted on the .
